I recommend having your bridal hair and makeup trial once you have chosen your wedding dress and have a good idea of the veil, hair accessories and overall style you would like for your wedding day.

Ideally, your trial can be arranged around the time of one of your dress fittings.

I usually recommend having your trial around 3 – 4 months before the wedding. If possible, bring your veil or hair accessories with you so we can see how everything works together.

• Inspiration photos for your bridal makeup and hairstyle.

• A picture of your wedding dress.

• Your wedding colour palette or any other details that reflect the overall style of your wedding.

• Bring any hair accessories or hair pieces you are planning to wear on the wedding day.

• If possible, please bring your veil as well.

• You are also welcome to bring your favourite makeup products. This can be especially helpful if you would like your bridal makeup to reflect your usual everyday style, or if there is a particular product, lipstick or shade you already love and would like me to incorporate into your wedding-day look.

I recommend wearing light-coloured clothing (similar to your wedding dress) and keeping your neckline open. This helps you see how the makeup frames your face and works with your dress style.

Your bridal trial is the perfect time to be completely open with me about what you like and what you don’t like.

When you bring inspiration photos, please tell me exactly what you love about each image. Sometimes it may be the overall look, but sometimes it is only a small detail - the skin finish, the eye shape, the lip colour, the blush placement or the hairstyle.

Please also be specific about the colours and tones you usually feel comfortable wearing.

During the trial, I will ask you questions about your preferences, including foundation coverage, skin finish, eye makeup intensity, lashes, brows, blush and lip colour.

Before your appointment, I recommend spending a little time looking through inspiration photos and thinking about what feels most like you and what you would feel comfortable wearing on your wedding day.

Don’t worry if you are still unsure - that is exactly what the trial is for. I will guide you through the options, make recommendations based on your features, dress and overall bridal style, and together we will create a look that feels beautiful, comfortable and completely you.

Most importantly, please tell me during the trial if there is anything you would like me to change. Even the smallest adjustment can make a big difference, and your honest feedback helps us create the perfect final look for your wedding day.

After your trial, pay attention to how your makeup and hairstyle wear throughout the day - how comfortable everything feels, how the makeup looks in different lighting, and how well your hairstyle holds.

If there is anything you would like to adjust, please let me know. Small changes can always be made before your wedding day.

If you decide that you would prefer a completely different makeup or hairstyle, that is absolutely fine too. Sometimes a lot of time passes between the trial and the wedding, your dress or accessories may change, or you may simply find new inspiration and decide you would like to try a different look.
